PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma )

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy: Skin rejuvenation using your own cells.
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) obtained from your blood contains platelets which work in the body to clog up cuts and tears. Platelets also have growth factors on the surface which stimulate collagen production

When the platelet plasma is injected into the skin, the platelets release their growth factors. The growth factors stimulate other cells surrounding the injection site, plumping them up and causing them to increase in volume.

Face and neck

PRP stimulates collagen and elastin production which thickens and tightens thinning skin, effectively smoothing wrinkles and fine lines. It significantly increases collagen within the skin, making it a great treatment for improving overall skin texture and tone.

Frequently Asked  Questions

What is a facial, and what are its benefits?

A facial is a skincare treatment that typically involves cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating the skin. It can improve skin texture, reduce acne, and promote a healthier complexion.

The frequency of facials depends on your skin type and specific concerns. On average, monthly facials are recommended for optimal results.

Facials can be customized for various skin types, but it’s essential to choose the right type of facial for your specific needs.

Dermaplaning is an exfoliation method that involves using a scalpel to remove dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the skin’s surface, revealing smoother, brighter skin.

Dermaplaning is typically painless and well-tolerated. It may feel similar to light scraping or a mild tickling sensation.

Dermaplaning is safe for most skin types. However, it may not be suitable for those with active acne or certain skin conditions.

A plasma pen uses a device to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen production and helping to tighten and rejuvenate the skin.

Some redness and swelling are common after a plasma pen treatment, and a few days of downtime may be needed. Healing time varies based on the intensity of the treatment.

Plasma pen treatments can improve sagging skin, fine lines, wrinkles, and some forms of scarring. It’s important to consult with a practitioner to determine if it’s suitable for your specific concern.

PRP therapy involves using a patient’s own blood to isolate and concentrate platelets, which are then injected back into the skin or scalp to promote tissue regeneration and collagen production.

PRP therapy is commonly used to address hair loss, skin rejuvenation, and the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s also utilized in orthopedics for joint and soft tissue injuries.

PRP therapy is generally safe because it uses the patient’s own blood. Side effects are usually minimal and may include mild swelling or bruising at the injection site.
