The main filler used for body contouring is HYAcorp, produced from cross-linked hyaluronic acid indicated for volume restoration of buttocks, hips, calves and breasts. This product can also be used to even out surface discrepancies’ in the skin surface, for example from liposuction or cellulite. It is intended to last 12-24 months.

HYAcorp is available in two formulations that be injected separately or in combination to make sure the full correction and smoothness of the skin’s surface is achieved. The formulation and volume of HYAcorp used (either MLF1 or MLF2) will depend on the individual and treatment area.

HYAcorp MLF2 was introduced into the United Kingdom for the body augmentation. MLF2 is a thicker gel consistency and perfect for contouring breasts, buttocks and hips. MLf1 is a thinner consistency and can be used to plump body scars or indentations from previous surgery e.g. liposuction. It can also be used to contour the hands or décolleté.

HYAcorp has approval for the use of volume restoration and body shaping. HYAcorp hyaluronic acid is BSE free and of non-animal origin.

1ml of HYAcorp MLF1/MLF2 contains:

▪ Hyaluronic acid – 2.0mg

▪ Hyaluronic acid cross-linked -20.0mg

▪ Sodium chloride – 6.9mg

▪ Water for injection ad – 1.0ml

1 x 10ml syringe of HYACorp will cost around £100, 40-200mls of filler can be used per procedure.

This minimally invasive procedure has minimal downtime and injected with a 18g cannula into the subcutaneous layer pf the skin to add volume and support. After the procedure clients can see instant results and return to normal daily activities shortly after the procedure.

Some general injection related reactions may occur including redness, swelling, tenderness, pain, bruising and itching. These reactions usually resolve within a few weeks.

fillers are another brand that can be used for buttock augmentation. It is created by a special manufacturing process to create thixotropic molecules which have the ability to make a gel less viscous, making the injection process easier and smoother. This allows the practitioner to use less force and thinner needles, minimalizing the pain level and giving optimal treatment comfort.

Hyaluronic acids in conventional gels tend to permanently break down when exposed to the pressure from the force of the injection, which negatively impacts the filler’s duration and efficacy. Thixotropic molecules in Genefill return to their original viscosity when pressure from the syringe is released, resulting in long-lasting and stable effects.
